Shortlisted projects from Round 3

Congratulations to the following Moss Side projects which have all been shortlisted to receive funding:

Aim 2 Train Coaching for Girls
To provide qualified football coaching to children aged 5 - 16 years

Art of Self Defence
To use the arts as a powerful medium to encourage positive cultural behaviour changes

Bowes Street Community Bus
To host a meeting an educational environmental space for residents to socialise and learn new skills

Community welfare reform awareness and advice surgery
To help non English speakers through the welfare reform changes such as universal credit

Somali Independence Day
To celebrate cultural heritage for everyone in the community - sport, song, dance, food, inspiration

Summer Playscheme
To provide play provision for young people, that is stimulating and encourages development

The power of self esteeem for young people
To encourage personal growth and development of young people, to overcome issues of confidence 

The grant approval is in now in its 2nd stage, with all recommendations being submitted to the Community Development Foundation, the organisation that administers community first funding. CDF will review the proposals and send communications direct to the projects.
